hardware is hardware - circuit boards, computer drives, memory
software are applications, programs, coding

They are different careers - though I’ve seen some hardware guys switch over to coding.

Easier job? There is no easy job in engineering. If you want easy, go into politics. I’ve never met a dumb engineer. I’ve met stupid engineers, but there’s a difference.

Both will pay well.

If you have to ask these questions, I don’t think you’re well suited to engineering.

Neither one is “easy” (I’ve done both). Software engineers in specialized fields make more money, but also work harder.

Hardware are the components of your pc such as motherboards and disc drives, software is programmes that run on your pc.

For the computer or design 3d models or web pages well anything connected with its parts then take hardware if you want to deal with its parts then take hardware engineering.

Hardware=things like printers, hard drives, etc. Software=programs used by hardware or computers.

software are programs/cd roms you can download/upload onto your computer
