Like Virus software and computer programs like Microsoft Word, not CD’s or DVD’s.

My notebook’s CD drive doesn’t work anymore for some reason, and since I currently have Norton Anti-Virus software installed I’m scared that when it expires, in August, I won’t be able to buy any virus software for my computer anymore since it can’t play any tipe of discs anymore.

Can external disc drives play computer software? And the ones that can, how much do they cost, if they exist?
